Our experience at carrot congress in Querétaro
From DisFruta Mich, we are filled with pride and joy to share our experience at the most recent edition of the 2026 Carrot Congress.
After attending the previous edition in Puebla two years ago, on April 29 and 30 we traveled from our beloved Morelia to the state of Querétaro to represent the finest of Michoacán agriculture in this essential national forum.
A meeting with the true protagonists of the land
It was an incredible experience to meet with growers from all the key regions of Mexico: from the Bajío and the High Plateau (Altiplano) to the Southeast. In addition, we had the opportunity to connect and network with top-tier technicians, suppliers of seeds, agrochemicals, machinery, and irrigation systems.
At DisFruta Mich, we had the honor of participating as exhibitors during the field day, where we successfully showcased the strength of our portfolio varieties in Nantes and Berlicum types.
How we experienced the congress: Day by day
Day 1: Conferences and market updates
The first day was packed with learning and exchanging technological and economic insights on the carrot market. Key topics addressed included:
- Specialized nutritional management for the crop.
- Prevention and control strategies for pests and diseases.
- Innovations in machinery for optimizing production processes.
Day 2: Field tour and variety demonstration
The second day was the highlight of our participation. We guided a plot tour where we presented in detail the quality and adaptability of our varieties:
- Exhibited varieties: Maestro, Altiplano, Orchestro, Músico, Súbito, Soprano, and Speedo.
- Presented technologies: Vilcrust Activada, Vilcrust, Vilseed, and Standard.
We shared the ideal development stages for each variety and their main competitive advantages with farmers, technicians, and distributors. The quality of the carrots displayed reaffirmed our commitment and leadership, opening the door to great partnerships, including the valuable collaboration of our team in establishing and monitoring the trial plot.
